About

Jill in a blue hat

My name is Jill Davis Doughtie, and I have been gardening with local native plants since 2009. I began studying local native plants formally in 2018, and I started L.A. Native Plant Connection, LLC in 2022 to perform maintenance for San Gabriel Valley California native plant gardens.

I work with wildlife gardens of all kinds, from formal to naturalistic, and from gardens including only hyperlocal plants to low water gardens that include plants from all over the world, including California.

I regularly participate in continuing education related to botany, ecology, and horticulture.
