L.A. Native Plant Connection, LLC is headed by Jill Davis Doughtie, who has been gardening with local native plants since 2009.
She began studying local native plants formally in 2018, and she founded L.A. Native Plant Connection, LLC in 2022.

Her home garden uses local native plants, arranged the way they grow in nature. She works with wildlife gardens of all kinds, from formal to naturalistic, and from hyper local to inclusive of plants from all over the world. Her goal with L.A. Native Plant Connection, LLC is to connect more Los Angeles native plants with Los Angeles area gardens and to support habitat for pollinators and wildlife Southern California’s built environment.
She regularly participates in continuing education related to botany, ecology, and horticulture.
