I’m trying something new. It’s the Orbit mechanical hose timer, and I got three of them so that I could set up the soaker or the oscillating sprinkler and leave them running, knowing they’d shut off after a certain amount of time.
Well, they do work pretty well, but I don’t think my faucets are designed to handle water pressure when they are open. When the timers shut off the flow of water but the faucets valves are open, the faucets leak a little. This is true on all three of the faucets I’ve tried it on. These timers will be useful for saving water, but I don’t think I can set them and forget about them like I was hoping.
Have you had this problem with hose timers? Did you figure out how to solve it?
